Regional Update - Team Managers & Volunteers

Team Managers,

Thanks to those of you who came Wednesday for the TM training. In future years, we expect to hold 2-3 of these, as well as workshops for the kids. We will also start much earlier next time; hopefully as early as August or September, to give everyone a chance to have sufficient time to complete their challenges and practice for Instant Challenge.

We really need appraisers and volunteers for the March 14th event. I asked previously that “seasoned” team managers provide two appraisers, and new team managers provide one. It is imperative that we have enough appraisers to be able to run the competition.

The forms at the websites above explain more about DI and the challenges. Please print these or give the website to interested parties.

Appraisers will be asked to attend an Appraiser training in Durango from 6-8pm on Thursday March 12th, and then a follow-up training with the Challenge Masters for an hour before the competition begins on Saturday, March 14th. A light dinner will be provided at the Thursday session, and breakfast and lunch will be provided at the event on March 14th. The plan is for appraisers from Pagosa and Norwood to be able to attend from their hometowns via Polycom video conferencing.

Schedule: The schedule for March 14th is almost complete. It will be uploaded to the website above when it’s ready, and I will let you know via email when that happens.
